HCAI-TPACK: Re-imagining Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge for the Generative AI Era-A Human-Centered Framework for Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Professional Development with Generative AI
If AI can generate almost anything, what should the teacher still design, judge, verify, and decide?
That question takes us beyond simply “using AI in education.”
It brings us to human-centered AI integration.
In this article, I propose HCAI-TPACK — Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence–Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge — as a conceptual framework for thinking about the professional knowledge teachers need in the era of generative AI.
